We have been working with Ross and his excellent team for the past 3 years on various projects ranging from the industrial design of their devices through to identity and brand work. The mutebutton technology is a multisensory treatment for tinnitus based on neuromodulation. As the guys now approach the official launch of their device we were asked to help create a unique space in which to showcase their product and technology at upcoming conferences and exhibitions.

Given that the treatment in question stimulates both the auditory and tactile senses, we thought that it would be appropriate to try something similar in the space. Working within the constraints of a 4m x 2m box we created 2 zones, one in which the team can present the product and another in which visitors to the stand can experience tinnitus. While in this experiential area they can also interact with other multimodal illusions, serving to further explain the fundamentals behind neuromodulation.
